Improved

A friendlier lesson editor

  • An “Add” bar under the lesson: every block in view, one click away.
  • The / key on an empty line opens the block menu with search.
  • New blocks: Tip (“Tip” or “Important”) and Divider.
  • YouTube and Vimeo videos are added from a link with their own button.
  • The lesson's estimated reading time, right in the editor.
  • A checklist for the learner: an onboarding plan or a procedure people tick off themselves; optionally required to complete the lesson. Progress shows in the report.

Deleting a course keeps training and reports safe

  • A course people are still taking can't be deleted. Spilno LMS shows who has it and offers to remove the unfinished assignments first.
  • If anyone completed the course, their results stay in the reports after it's deleted, and certificates stay valid. The course's files are deleted and free up space.
  • Files nothing uses any more (an image taken out of a lesson, a replaced cover) are deleted automatically once a day.
  • You can delete a single activity (lesson, quiz, SCORM) from a course people are taking, and their results stay in the reports. Before you do, you see how many people have results and for whom the course will count as completed.

Improved

AI question generation: clear usage

  • Settings show how many AI generations you used this month and on what.
  • Only successful generations count: if AI couldn't do it, your limit stays the same.
  • A document for generation can be up to 20 pages (slides) and 10 MB. Split longer documents: the questions come out more precise.

New

“My day” for learners and “Today” for admins

  • My day shows a learner one main thing to do, with the reason why: overdue, a close deadline, or something already started.
  • Today gathers everything that needs an admin's attention: overdue training, newcomers without courses, hard quizzes, pending invitations. Most actions take one click.
  • A new look across the product: statuses are shown as dots, and lists stay compact as your data grows.

Learning paths

Put several courses into a path, such as “Sales onboarding”, and assign it to a group or a person.

  • Courses can open one after another: the next one unlocks when the previous one is done.
  • Each step has its own deadline, counted from when it opens.
  • Learners see the path in “My learning” with progress step by step.

New

Command palette ⌘K

Press ⌘ K (or Ctrl K on Windows) to find a course, person or group and act right away: assign, remind, open a report.
