Learning
Learning paths
Several courses in a set order: onboarding, getting ready for a role, yearly training.
What it is
A learning path is courses in a set order, for example “Welcome” → “Product” → “Security”. You assign it like a course: to groups or to individual people.
Create a path
- Learning paths → New learning path → title and description.
- On the “Courses” tab, add courses in order. Each can have a time limit in days.
- On the “People” tab, assign the path to groups or people.
One by one, or all at once
- One by one (the default): the next course opens when the previous one is completed. Until then it's “locked”: people see it in the path but can't open it, and there are no reminders about it.
- All at once: people see every course and take them in any order.
Step time limits
A step's time limit counts from the day the course opened for that person. So everyone has their own schedule: someone finishes the first course in a day, someone in a week, and each gets their own time for the second.
Good to know
- When a course opens, the person gets a “You've been assigned” notification (within an hour).
- If a course is already open to someone another way (a group, individual access), it's open in the path too.
- A course with no content doesn't hold up the next steps.
- Deleting a path doesn't delete its courses: people only lose access they had through that path alone.
Progress
The “People” tab shows each person: how many courses are done, which one they're on, by when, and who's overdue.
Combine a learning path with a dynamic group “New hires” and every new employee gets onboarding automatically.
